Podcast audio remastering!

Sep 21, 2017

I make no secret of the fact that, despite happily recording music at home, I’m absolutely not any good at mastering audio. I can definitely slap on some reverb or fiddle with some basic EQ, but it starts and ends about there. Due to this, the audio in the old versions of the podcast was passable but certainly ropey. Well, that’s all solved now! Knobs have been fiddled with and they’re sounding pretty great. Going forward all the new episodes should match the same audio quality too, which is awesome news.A few of the episodes couldn’t go through all the steps to being remastered due to the way in which I saved the files in a less than ideal way, but that should really only affect the Jack the Ripper episodes. We did what we could and they still sound pretty sweet to me! All other episodes should be spot on!If you’re looking for a sound engineer with decent rates to make your audio sound sweet as fook, feel free to get in touch and I can certainly point you in the right direction of the guy who did these Dark Histories remasters.Right, time to get back to reading weird books about bizarre shit…
