Dark Histories tells the stories of some of our darkest moments, deepest mysteries and strangest happenings, from large cultural events to smaller, localised legends. I aim to write in an interesting, hopefully, entertaining way, maintaining integrity to the facts and be as informative as possible, offering a springboard for you to delve deeper if you find something particularly interesting. The stories are all based on either primary, credible sources or drilled down through research to be as close as possible to the primary.
We dabble in true crime, touch on the paranormal and revel in the underbelly of the strange.
WHERE ARE WE?
WHO ARE WE?
Bio below, feel free to contact us anytime if you have any specific questions. Despite writing about death and murder a lot, I’m actually quite friendly. Honest.
I’m a hair stylist, living and working in Brighton, UK. I studied Cultural & Historical studies at Brighton University and then ran a graphic design company for 6 years before I worked out that I just wanted to cut hair all day.
Dark Histories is a nice way for me to continue writing, which is something I love to do. Before podcasting I ran a YouTube channel on hair styling (still do actually!) and produced DIY music for years and years. I used the production skills from those pursuits to help me out making the podcast. I love creating and feel at my best when I’m working on a creative project of some kind.
Outside of Podcasting, I enjoy music which consumes way too much of my life, making stuffed toys, watching too many films, playing D&D, fashion and style. I have learnt Japanese for over 10 years and I also teach English in a flexible position at a school for Japanese students, mainly within the intermediate level spectrum for exam preperation.
Hello! My name is Sally, I currently work as an administrator in Wiltshire, UK, near Stonehenge and Avebury. I love drawing, reading, playing video games and all things spooky!
